The driving force behind the density and gloominess of metal hardware is the owner's friendly demeanor. We were pleasantly surprised by how amiable they are, warmly welcoming us, even as artists not typically within their target customer base, allowing us to do as we pleased.
Our initial impression transformed into our inspiration; we aim to bring the owner's identity to the forefront and dispel the heaviness and somber image associated with metal hardware. The focus is on utilizing the shop's own metal spare parts to craft smiley faces that mirror the friendly nature of the owner. These carefully placed smiling figures will not only invite customers into the shop but also provide a daily dose of morale-boosting inspiration for the shop'owner as they navigate the challenges of the business.
